Eighty four years ago today, Popeye the Sailor Man made history when he first appeared in the comic strip, THIMBLE THEATER. The CBS Morning News, hosted by Gayle King and Charlie Rose, were among the first fans to wish the world’s mightiest mariner a “Happy 84th Birthday!”
